This is an inexpensive frame with a 1/2" plastic border and an acrylic front with the same optical qualities as glass. It is definitely better than the less expensive version that sells for around $10. The backing is very thick and stiff. If you are okay with this description, then you will be just fine with this frame. It is not a wood and glass frame and if that is the quality you want then spend $70 or far more for a custom frame. I use this frame for posters that i make that generally hang in the rooms of kids. Acrylic won't shatter which makes it safer than glass. The frame works great for sports posters. I wouldn't use this type of frame for a portrait or for a beautiful landscape image in my living room. When used for the right type of image (e.g., kid's poster) this frame is perfect and i find that people like it a lot.
