Comments about Adorama Adorama Stainless Steel Film Developing Reel For 120 Size Film:

I bought two of these reels today, I'm returning them both tomorrow. [...]I went ahead and bought them thinking they might still be usable. No such luck. I sacrificed an unused roll of film to test them out and was completely unable to load film onto either of them. These things are garbage -- buy them only if you want to ruin your film and lose the shots you worked very hard to get.

Comments about Adorama Adorama Stainless Steel Film Developing Reel For 120 Size Film:

its inexpensive, which i like. the quality is o.k. not top of the line for sure. i'm not blowing tons of rolls through it every week, so its fine for me. i just couldn't see spending $30-40.00 on a reel. i think the people who gave bad reviews don't know how to load a stainless reel. or they got a bad batch.

Comments about Adorama Adorama Stainless Steel Film Developing Reel For 120 Size Film:

Save your money and buy Hewes reels or something comparable that is made out of thicker wire. These are completely worthless. The wire that they are made of is smaller making it nearly impossible to feed the film onto the reel without it slipping out of the grooves. I can't even load them in the light while I'm watching what I'm doing and I'm no rookie! [...]

Comments about Adorama Adorama Stainless Steel Film Developing Reel For 120 Size Film:

I only have two 120 reels and wanted two more so my g/f got me two of these for Christmas. They are absolutely worthless. The gauge of the wire is too small making it nearly impossible to feed the film onto the reel correctly. My other two reels are made from noticeably heavier wire and they work perfect. Spend the extra money and get good reels.

Comments about Adorama Adorama Stainless Steel Film Developing Reel For 120 Size Film:

This reel is a piece of junk. I finally gave up trying to use it. The center clip is too small to hold the film. The spirals are not large enough diameter to guide the film on the reel. Go with the Hewes reel instead.
