Comments about Ilford Ilford XP-2 Super Sharp, Fine Grain, Black and White Professional Film, ISO 400, 120 Size:

This is about the finest to use in today's market as processing is much more available over the "normal" B&W films, unless, or course, you're processing your own. Ilford scans well and provides excellent results. Started using it when my processor advised it was an in house situation for him. With few available that will run 120 that was a big plus. The Ilford 120 provides much more capability, even if processing is more difficult, at least locally.

Comments about Ilford Ilford XP-2 Super Sharp, Fine Grain, Black and White Professional Film, ISO 400, 120 Size:

Shot several rolls of this that were defective - scratches and lines running through all images...tested in various cameras & various labs, all with same result. Used to love the convenience of this film, its good speed and C41 developing, but I will NEVER use it again. Came very close to using it on high paying jobs that would have turned into disasters with those lines.

Comments about Ilford Ilford XP-2 Super Sharp, Fine Grain, Black and White Professional Film, ISO 400, 120 Size:

A great time saver for those who do not have the time to process their own black and white film. This film does not have the orange mask like most C-41 films making it easy to print in the darkroom. Because there is no grain it is very easy to scan and is great for smooth skin tones. I suggest using it for portraiture to give creamy beautiful skin. I still believe traditional black and white film gives better results but for those who like to save time I highly recommend it!

Comments about Ilford Ilford XP-2 Super Sharp, Fine Grain, Black and White Professional Film, ISO 400, 120 Size:

What a great combination of speed, sharpness, latitude and tonality! This film makes outstanding traditional silver prints.

Consistent processing each time thanks to C41.

It does not have halide crystals so it scans wonderfully.
