Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

You'll need a trip to your local hardware store for plumbing supplies to really trick out the washer and prevent endless diddling making minute adjustments to the supplied tubing. I installed an inline needle valve on the supply side, which is now preset to proper flow rate REGARDLESS of how the main sink faucet handle is set. Prevents constant fussing with that oh-so-critical flow rate. Next, add some PVC elbows! Although the base footprint for the Gravity Works is acceptable for countertop use, those in-line hookups (on the long end of the base already) add another foot to the overall dimensions (to avoid kinking the tubing)! Moving the "feed" and "drain" and "overflow" connections from the end to the length of the base makes a lot more sense to me, in terms of more compact design. Finally, cleaning can be a nightmare UNLESS you try the hint I found elsewhere online -- when finished with your session, add some Photo-Flo to the tank and stir the water before draining.
