I used to print on Kodak paper and Fuji's previous paper, which both worked for me. This paper however is completely unusable. It seems impossible to make a decent print with it. Blacks look terrible and the paper has no contrast. On top of this it feels flimsy and looks cheap.

After the recent shortage of Fuji paper I was eager to get back into the darkroom. Type II has replaced Type C in smaller cut sheet sizes for traditional darkroom printing. It is visually disappointing in comparison. The paper is 1/2 to 1 stop less contrasty, with muddy cyan highlights. My prints look terrible. This is another painful blow to those of us still printing traditionally.

I have started printing in color this year and have been using the Fuji paper. It is consistent within a box of paper. A new box would require a slight adjustment but that is normal. I like the saturation and the look I get with Fuji. I use their film as well but that is not necessary when printing with their paper.
