No, I would not recommend this to a friend

The filters do an OK job. I was a bit disappointed with the circular polarizing filter, as it wasn't as dark as I had hoped and the effect is minimal. Mostly useful for removing reflections and not for getting more saturated sky blues, etc. Also, with a telephoto lens, the edges/corners of the image are noticeably darker than the center.

Loved it. My outside pictures are coming out so much better than before. Before there was a orange yellow color to face shots , but now the skin tone is more to its natural color...............truley won't take a picture outside again without it on.

The filters protect your lens and allows you to remove unwanted reflections from areas such as water.Colors become more clear.The 812 improves skintones and is ideal for portraits.

it is a luxury item if you have digital camera vs film and have photoshop for editing. It is far more needed with a film camera.
