Tiffen filters may be on the inexpensive side, but they are built very well. I have found this and all other Tiffen filters that I've purchased to be as good as the most expensive filters I have in my bag (B+W MC, Hoya MC).
Although this is not a multicoated filter, I haven't run into any problems at all and flare doesn't seem to be any more of an issue with this filter than it is with my multicoated filters.
This filter has a very gradual shift in tint, and this makes it especially easy to use compared with some of the harder-edged grad filters.
Buy this and any other Tiffen filter with confidence and enjoy!
