Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Because I will be shooting pictures along the Alaskan coastline, I wanted a good quality polarized filter to help minimize the sun's glare on the glacial ice and water's surface. I had read several revues in which B+W was the filter of choice. I chose this filter over the others because of multi-coated glass.
