B+W is one of the three German filter makers I trust. I own Japanese lenses and cameras, but their filters are cheaper and have let me down, contributing to flare and contrast loss. Worse, aluminum rings are hard to get off in various temperature and humidity conditions.
A good filter have a machined knurled brass rings with unstressed glass so the glass doesn't bend when the temperature changes. Brass doesn't stick. No need for a filter wrench. Until you've owned one, you don't know what you're missing. Don't put cheap optics on a good lens.
