High quality construction and glass. I bought it to put on the front of my Canon 70-200 L IS 2.8 so shortcutting the filter seemed like a really bad thought. I wanted the best and from what I heard and read about this filter, this was it. It's expensive and only my second CP, but it works as advertised and I'm very happy with it.

This is my first filter. From the paper filter box I was not sure that the item I received was what I bought. B+W could have included a basic description of the product and its effects. My search of their web site did not yeild the information.

It's simply the finest polarizer I've ever used. It has some weight to it and pretty much feels to be built like a tank. I have no doubt that this thing will last for years. Why spend thousands, or even hundreds, on a lens only to stick some sub-standard piece of glass on the front. Go with the best, you'll not be disappointed.
