The quality of this polar lens really appears to be cheap. The glass was extremely loose in the mounting ring and it was chipped on the edges. YOu could actually see the chips around the inner edge of the ring! It is too easy to make a good product these days than to produce such inferiority. I wonder if Hoya outsourced production as they typically do make an good product. This was for my digital recorder. Did the glass work? Yes. But do I get aggrevated with it each time I see it? Yes. Do I worry about flair and separation? Yes.
Try Tiffen or B&W, Heliopan, etc.
