Comments about Hoya Hoya 72mm Extra Thin Circular Polarizer Super Multi Coated Glass Filter:
I purchased this filter because my old Tiffen Cir. Polarizer would cause severe vignetting when used with my Canon EF 28-135mm at the 28mm setting. I was disappointed to find that this filter, although 3mm thinner, still caused vignetting in the upper corners of the image at 28mm although not as bad as the old filter. Other users had reported they had no trouble with even wider lens so I had hoped this would fix my problem. They may have been using a smaller sensor. I am using a full frame camera.

Comments about Hoya Hoya 72mm Extra Thin Circular Polarizer Super Multi Coated Glass Filter:
I bought this circular polarizer to mount on my Tamron 18-270mm lens for vacations, as I like to take photos at all times of the day - and this helps to reduce some of the glare on those mid-afternoon site-seeing shoots. I'm no real pro, but this polarizer seems to do quite a good job and I have NO complaints.

Excellent optics for such a thin lens. [...] I've used it almost everytime I shoot.

Comments about Hoya Hoya 72mm Extra Thin Circular Polarizer Super Multi Coated Glass Filter:
The only thing that really bothers me is how stiff the rotation is and how small the ring grip is sometimes leading to fingerprints on the element. This being said, these issues are part of how they made it so thin, so it's a trade-off, one that is easy to make.

There are availabloe equivalent filters which provide the outer ring, with the sacrifice of thicker construction but greater versatility
