Comments about Hoya Hoya 77mm Circular Polarizer Glass Filter:

My 77 mm HOYA polarizer that spent more time at home than in the field (my main lenses are 72mm) was always tough to rotate. Now it stuck completely. Disassembling and even a drop of lubricant did not help. Has to throw away and shop for another one. This time it will not be HOYA.

Comments about Hoya Hoya 77mm Circular Polarizer Glass Filter:

I use the Hoya Circular Polarizer on my 70-200mm L lens. I have bought multiple 77mm filters from various manufacturers and I always appreciate the packaging of the Hoya filters. Unlike other competing products whose cases often arrive open with the filter rolling around the box, I have peace of mind ordering a Hoya filter and knowing it is safe in its case, as well as dust and scratch free.

There isn't much to be said about the filter itself if you know what a circular polarizer does. It gives great colors when used properly in landscape photography. It can also be used as a ND filter if needed.

If anyone is in a market for a filter, I would suggest Hoya without hesitation. While there are cheaper alternatives that may achieve the same goal, these alternatives have always arrived scratched and dusty in my experience. Your mileage may vary.

Great product.Beware ,on the wide angle Tokina 11/16 2.8 at 11 mm there is a slight vignetting at the corners .For any other glass it'll be just fine .How good it is and the difference between this and 150 dollars filter its a bit hard to say.i

Comments about Hoya Hoya 77mm Circular Polarizer Glass Filter:

This filter reflects (no pun intended) a good balance of performance and price. There are higher priced CPL's, and maybe lab tests can show that they're better in some way, but these old eyes can't see it.

Comments about Hoya Hoya 77mm Circular Polarizer Glass Filter:

Allows you to get vibrant fall colors in bright sun light. It also reduces glare from the water in the creeks making them look deep. A GREAT filter to have in your collection.

Comments about Hoya Hoya 77mm Circular Polarizer Glass Filter:

There is no substitute for a good polorizer when the need arises. Hoya offers consistent quality to help you capture the great colors and results that a polorizer should provide. It really works best in full sun morning or evening.
