Comments about Sunpak Sunpak 72mm Circular Polarizer Filter:
I read the review about this filter being blurry as I'm about to purchase one for a new lens. I did some tests with my old lens and my old Sunpak filter and they are correct! The images are noticably blurry with the filter in place. I was barely getting into photo with the old setup, only now am I more serious and I blamed previous blurry images on myself. D'oh. I'll be springing for the higher-end equipment on this one.

Great value for the money. There are better, but this one certainly suffices!

I should have know better. The cliche "You get what you pay for" could not be more true when it comes to this filter. I bought this for my 40D (I know I know - Why spend all that money on a great camera and skimp on the filter? I have learned my lesson). I loaded up the mountain bike, threw the camera gear into my backpack and away I went. After spending several grueling hours in the mountains I arrived home, excited to pull the images from my camera. I was in store for a major disappointment. Every single picture taken with the Sunpak Polarizer filter was blurry. Big time bummer! Don't waste your money on this filter. Spend a little more for a Hoya or B+W and save yourself the agony of a wasted photoshoot. I also carried along the Sunpak UV filter and surprisingly pictures taken with it were razor sharp. But the Polarizer...No No No No No No...stay away. Learn from my pain :)
