After researching filters from different manufacturers, I found Tiffen was an affordable choice with flawless glass and even density throughout the polarizer. As a DSLR owner, I use Tiffen circular polarizer to achieve color saturation which is best obtained at or near 90 degree angles to the sun. They also aid in reducing glare. As polarizers are more useful than UV filters, they remain attached to each of my lenses as they are still cheaper than replacing a lense!

It is pretty amazing to watch the difference that this filter makes to the sky tones. Living in Montana with such a big sky already, this filter will get a workout.

I use this for landscape shots in the mountains and especially if there is a lake or stream in the shot. It definitely results in a more dramatic blue sky in many situations. In other words it works as advertised and at a very reasonable price.

Tiffen always makes a good filter, it works great for me. Changes the tones in the color of the sky like you wouldn't believe.

Please dont read the review saying it doesn't work on Canon lenses and believe it. I have a Canon 30D with this filter on the kit lens and it works flawlessly, if you know how to use it and what conditions to use it it.

A great deal on something all photographers should have in their bag. A great tool to cut through non metallic reflections on water, foliage, glass, you name it just not anything metallic. You can use it to see the water and not the reflection on the surface. Also, it will help to create more dynamic skies. It really works a a wide range of objects and rarely comes off my lens if Im shooting outside.

I bought this to go on my Canon Rebel XTi lenses. After receiving it, I read the Canon instructions that say only use Canon filters. Yeah, yeah, normally. But this actually doesn't seem to work on the lenses.

For [$] this is a fine polarizer that does the basic job of adding punch to the sky and reducing glare on water and foliage. Certainly not top notch optics, but for ordinary use it's great.

This circular polarizer wasn't quite uniform over my camera's field of view, but for the price it did exactly what I wanted: darkened skies, removed glare, etc... I am quite happy with it. If you're just starting out, or want a polarizer for a lens you don't use as often, it does the job.
