The glass in this filter is absolutely crystal clear, no reflections at all. Held it up next to a cheaper UV filter and the difference was amazing. If you're buying nice lenses, do them a favor and put on this filter. You wont be dissapointed.

Have these on all my lenses. 70-200 came out of a secure Lowepro photopack somehow shattered--looked like the lens was shot. Local shop, Looking Glass, had to cut it off but THE LENS WAS UNDAMAGED! It's annoying to take it off when I shoot and sometimes I get lazy and leave it on (great shots--can't really tell the difference)but it saved my lens and that speaks for itself!

The glass on this filter is first class, clear, and well made. Great protection with scratch resistant surface. Easy to install and easy manipulate as well. Had another brand on my new Canon 70-200 2.8 IS USM II but replaced it with this filter.

I find that on some lenses at lower AP ratings this filter adds a negligible amount of vignetting in to the corners of the image - which I don't mind. Vignetting occurs mainly at very wide angles (Canon EF 16-35 f/2.8L II or EF 14mm f/2.8 L II). In all honesty this is due in part to the lens which I have come to expect. Works wonders on a 70-200mm, straight 50mm or 24-70/105mm.

I use this to protect my Canon 24-105L front element and wanted to make sure I wasn't degrading the image. I have mainly relied on other users' feedback in my decision to purchase this filter and I will put it to the test over the next several months. Today, however, I can say that the quality is evident in the B+W filters.

I knew i should gt the B&W filter but desided to save and got the Hoya DMC Pro1. Well... Lets just say that Adorama was great and accepted the return with no problems. So i got the B&W. It feels like it was built to last, pretty heavy, solid, matches the L lens perfectly(i'm not the pixel peeper so no comments on image quality here). Good product, little expensive but the price is reasonable considering the quality. Highly recommended.

Simply the best UV/Protection filter. High quality construction, never binds to the lens. MRC makes it easy to clean and incredibly clear. I buy one of these for all of my lenses.

This is a solid somewhat heavy well built filter, among the best in its class. I really like B&W filters for my work and don't notice any negative impact on my images.

I have been using Canon's UV filter primarily for lens protection. Looking closely at both Canon's and B+W filter I can tell the difference, "clearly". B+W is more transparent almost invisible where I can easily see Canon's glass. I prefer this over many cheap filters.

Whenever I buy a new lens, I order a B+W filter along with it. Right now I have 85mm f1.8 USM, 28mm f1.8 USM, 70-200 f2.8L and a 24-70 f2.8L lenses. They all have B+W 2C filters on them. Why risk a lens that costs anywhere from $400-$1200 and not protect it with a filter? Also, if you are going to be shooting through this filter all of the time, it only makes sense to buy the best. B+W is far superior to Canon's which is made by Tiffen. I also have B+W Kaesemann Circular Polarizer in both sizes. Not fun to pay for, but the results justify the expense.

Overall, very good filter, but expensive. Some ghosting in poor light with long focal lengths, but in good light, used judiciously, works fine. In retrospect, I probably should have looked for a "digital" version in this size to minimize occasion background ghosting in uneven light.

I originally ordered the Canon UV filters for my lenses and quickly realized that the quality was sub par. After researching, I decided on the B&W multi coated UV filters. After receiving the first one, I ordered new ones for each of my lenses. They have a nice quality feel to them.

I am in the process of upgrading all my older UV filters with B+W. They are more expensive, but if you spend a lot on a lens, you want to make sure you have the best filter to maintain the integrity of your glass. Sure there are different schools of thought regarding the use of UV filters - I personally keep it on my lens at all times for the protection factor, which is why I spent the extra money on this one. The optics have been fantastic and I see NO discernable difference in my image quality. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
