The slim version works great on my 24-70G. I chose this one in stead of the normal B+W because the 24mm side. The only point is that nikon camera cap doesn't fit on this filter. However a B+W cap comes with this filter. It is a little bit loose and not that stable to cover the filter. But most of the time, it works.

So far the results are very good based on the limited number of photographs. Not sure that I would buy slim version next time since it requires custom lens cap (suppplied with the filter). A standard size filter accommodates Canon lens cap which I would prefer, but this is insignificant in the overall assessment.

I started buying B&W filters after literally having a less expensive brand fall off my camera in the middle of the street while traveling in Boston. I had tried to save a little money and found it wasn't worth it. These filters hold securely to the lens even though they are thin and do not fall apart. If you have a good lens, it's worth protecting it and not degrading the optics. When I am shooting, I don't put the lens cap back on until I am finished, sometimes not till the end of the day.
