Comments about Hoya Hoya 46mm UV (Ultra Violet) Glass Filter:
I have had this on my Fujifilm FinePix S700 for over a week and have taken it out on 2 hikes in the mountains. I really can't see that it does much to filter out haziness, which is why I purchased it, so I am, so far, somewhat disappointed. I plan to give it another opportunity soon. On the great side, it works with the lens cap and actually provides a better fit than the camera without the filter. I am recommending but with the caveat that it doesn't filter out much but offers good protection and seal.

Solid construction and very handy UV filter, it fits snugly with my new Lumix DMC FZ280 camera. It double functions as a good lens cover so that I do not have to clean my lens every time.
I took the camera to Death Valley for about a week. Pictures came back good.
