In addition to taking some haze out of outdoor shots, a UV filter is a good "safety net" for your lens. I bought the 46mm for a Lumix DMC-FZ35 and it fits great.

I purchased this filter to hopefully prevent some of the hazy effects that I recieved from my last camera. I also wanted it to protect the lense on my camera.

After I bought this filter, I read a review that said it wouldn't fit a Panasonic DMC-FZ28. I was worried until it arrived. The review was incorrect. The filter screws on to the end of the lens and it is very snug. I can't even tell it's there.

I have seen a reflection only once, but that was before I took the picture, so I was aware an was able to move to a better angle. I have not seen any hazy pictures yet, so that is good.

Bottom line, the price is great if the only use is protection for the lense. Everything else is just a bonus! I am satisfied with my purchase.
