What a difference this filter does to your photography. A must for any camera lens you use, especially outdoors. You usually won't see the difference until you use this filter. If you thought your shots were great before, try this filter.

I got this through a package deal on the lens I bought through Adorama. It was a great price and it really gets the job done. I would recommend having one of these to ensure that your lens is protected. It is definitely worth the couple dollars to protect your lens.

The Tiffin 58mm UV glass filter easily screws onto a canon lens and has a recessed gap where you can smartly attach a lens cap. The lens hood can also be attached with the lens cap on the lens which is important to me as to not allow dust to gather on the surface of the filter. Tiffin has been around for a long time and they certainly know how to make quality lens filters.

I purchased this filter to mate with the new lens lens I purchased from Adaroma. I have several for my other size lens and I'm familiar with Tiffen quality. I do a lot of outdoor shots and I leave it attached all the time.

I buy the UV filter for everyday protection for my lenses. I have two of these and they have been easy to use and give strong performance. Next, I will buy the Tiffen polarized filter for direct sunlight use.

Of course, you want to protect your lens and this product seems a very useful and economical way to do it.

The UV protection is not clearly discernable but I am confident that this filter does help. It's best attribute to me is to that it does a nice job protecting my lens when I am out on the trail.

Bought this as part of a package offered by Adorama that made this UV filter affordable as Lens Protection. My teenage daughter tends to contact the lens with spirited use of the camera. This has proven to be good protection for the telephoto lens. Only had it for a month now.

Great buy! Good price! Not Cheap at all! High quality, its a glass UV filter. Protects your lens. Fits perfect. It has two threads for the front and back. You can put a lens hood on the front of it if you have one.

You do get what you pay for and I really only purchased the filter for protection purposes so the price was certainly right!! I bought a camera case that had a perk of a Canon filter included, and it is a much nicer fit on the lens--attaches very nicely/smoothly. For future purchases I will probably stick with Canon, but for the money it was a good little purchase for the purpose!

This is a good filter for the job. It's UV protection and lens protection at the same time. I needed it more for lens protection as I'm prone to bumping the lens myself and I'm prone to being bumped during sports shots.

If you have a bare lens element, you need to buy one of these. Screw it on and you're protected.

I got this to protect my lens from outside contact, particularly my 4 year-old's greasy fingers. Works well, maintains compatibility with the lens cap.

Accidentally dropped my camera and the Tiffen filter absolutely saved my lens. It cracked but was easily replaced and did its thing. It also is very easy to clean and keeps the dust off.

I use this product as lens and UV protector. I have had different UV filters but this one has the least reflection and consequently least reduction in light.

The filter did protect the lens from damage when it was hit. However, shards of glass broke ito the lens which it was meant to protect. It remains to be seen if the lens was damaged.

I have a number of these. I bought the last 2 for a 50mm and an 85mm prime lenses. These will work on most lenses, but would not recommend this brand for a Canon 10-22mm lens or a Canon 17-55mm lens. I bought these and the lens caps would not fit properly. I replaced them with Canon's sharp cut filters and that solved the problem.
