I have pretty much switched to Tiffen for lens protection due to what I perceive to be good value. I've had problems with other products in the same price range, but Tiffen seems well constructed and optically good.

So far it is a great product and is made really well. I have it on my D70 18-70mm lens.

I put this filter on a Bausch and Lomb Discoverer spotting scope. It is top quality glass and provides protection for the main lens. You can see the difference in bright light with it on and off. This filter is cheap insurance for a [$] dollar spotting scope. I leave the filter on permanantely and screw the scope cap onto it. This keeps out dust and protects the lens from sratches and damage. Highly recommend.
