I am not a photographer. I use this item for holding dumbbells and weight collars, and it is excellent for this purpose. Actually I think it would be handy for holding any kind of gear. It is exactly what I needed.

I am a professional photographer. I taped 2 together and then duct taped a piece of 3/8" plywood to the bottoms to make a 19"x26" playform for pet portraits. Worked like a charm and was able to transport plenty of small studio items in the boxes, to and fro.
