The kit arrived quickly and everything works perfectly.. I notice the off camera sync cord's strain relief is slightly under sized thus allowing some wiggle of the wires--but I am not overly concerned about it, as I always handle my equipment gently and with respect. The flash is a dream machine--. This is a great deal.

All of the components are good or excellent except the off camera cord [which is an Adorama unit-not canons] which didn't work with my 20d or 5d. The flash only fired in manual mode on the 5d and the 20d didn't even see the flash. Both worked directly mounted on the camera.I broke down and got the real canon cord and everything works well. I sent the included cord back and asked for a refund, we'll see how that goes. I sent off three e-mails asking about it and never got a response.
This flash does everything but wash your dishes, and works on auto without any imput, unless you want. A great unit for flash dummys.
The bracket can pinch fingers [Very Painful and people stare when you scream!] but works as advertised and the batteries and charger are first rate.
I am an outdoor photographer and am not very knowlegable about flashes. Have gotten by with a 430ex till now, but am going to shoot a family wedding this summer. This appears to be the hot setup, as I can forget settings when I want and still get good exposures.
The Sto-fen diffuser was back-ordered and just arrived, so haven't used it yet, but I have friends with them and they are good for softening the "flash glare" from on camera flashes.
Not sure of the seperate prices, maybe ordering pieces is cheaper?
