The first thing that impressed me was the quality of the stands. Very well made and stable with the ability to adjust the base wider for more stability. Cords could be a bit longer and the sockets a little more sturdy. The case is well made and packs easily. They provide plenty of light for indoor portraits. Haven't tried them outdoors yet.

This is my lightest light kit, a real back saver. I added another light as I often do on location head and shoulder shots. I use a key, fill back light and hair light for the best effect. Once I turn my lights on I turn of the existing lights so that I control the lighting including color temperature. These lights are easy on the subject not too hot or too bright.

The kit looks very professional to the average person. It lacks the heavy-duty quality of high end equipment but makes up for this shortcoming by having an incredible low price. Treat it well and it should last quite a while

As someone who was used to the old 3200k incandesant bulbs, the 5500K flourescent bulbs blew me away. This is definitely the trend for the coming years. Why mess around with flash when you can have your lights on all the time with little heat and low enegy consumption.

GREAT value for the price! The person(s) who designed this kit KNEW what a basic lighting kit needs. They included it all. The bag is large enough to hold the collapsed stands, with the light heads attached, (bulbs removed). The stands are sturdy enough to hold the lights with umbrella at all heights. The heads are easily adjustable and seem well made. With the components un-boxed, there is ample room for more padding, extra bulbs, extension cord and a power strip!
I am ordering 2 of the 125 watt bulbs to add to this kit.

I had to shoot 150+ products for an online store. Although I am not an experienced photographer, I found this kit easy to set up, adjust and move around. The lamps never got hot, although they were on for more than 5 hours. They provided exactly the light I needed, with no color cast. More expensive kits are probably somewhat sturdier, but this one could not be called flimsy or cheap. A terrific deal.

I gave this lighting system to my husband for Christmas and he loves it. He was looking for a lighting system for a long time and I chose this one bases on consumer reviews. He used it to take pictures at my son's wedding and the pictures are great. my husband is very happy with this product and that makes me very happy with it.

Really great set of lights for the price. Stands are sturdy and I would only recommend weighting them with sandbags if working with pets and small children. Set up and break down is quick and easy. Excellent carrying case is included with ample room for additional equipment. The only way Adorama could improve this product would to be include a soft box. I received the product very quickly with no delay at all. Buying from Adorama is always a pleasure.

I've been shipping around for a continuous light lighting kit, and could not be happier with my choice of purchasing this product.

My primary use is photographing artwork (paintings and sculptures), and the amount of light that comes out of these little suckers is just perfect.

I'd say this is the ideal kit for any one who is not (yet) a professional photographer.

Money well spent.

Only for portraits. Easy to use. Probably better with more power on bulbs , especially on the spotlight.

Nice three light light set for the price,although I would like to see a light box set up for this as there is too much spill and I cant see a way to mount one.

First Above All Else . . . pretty decent quality and an absolutely amazing price! Adorama has filled a huge hole in the market. I wouldn't be able to afford these lights if Adorama hadn't designed this affordable product.

It's compact well though-out design allows everything to collapse into a size where no inch is wasted. It comes in a perfect traveling case which thus far has protected the unit from the inevitable bumps, jars, and stuff being stacked on it when enroute to a site.

Plus the unit uses very common lamps available everywhere (including Adorama)so that isn't an issue.

I love it when companies find a hole and fill it. Good product . . . great price.

Wanted an inexpensive way to get into some lighting for in my home 'studio' type photos and found this. It works well and Adorama was quick to replace a defective bulb. The fluorescent bulbs are green in that power consumption is much lower then other comparable lights. The bag yo store the equipment in is a nice little feature also, not the highest quality equipment but for my use will be more then enough at this present time. GREAT Bargain!

A great set of hot lights that don't get hot! After 2 1/2 of continuous use, I could touch the bulbs with my hands. Love the case. So easy to setup, take down and store. Very easy to use! I setup an out-door studio with this 3 light system, took pictures of 42 couples and was back in my car in less than 3 hours. Can't think of anything bad to say about this product. I love it!
