This is a good product - I got this size initially because I was concerned about the power it was going to take to get reasonable apertures for outdoor portrait work with my Canon 580 EX flash. Judging by my efforts to date, I believe I will try the next larger size, and keep this for a second light source. Super easy setup - I keep it set up for outdoor portraits - however, you will need to fasten the light stand down with something if the wind is over 10 MPH.
Perfect soft box if you have 580 Ex II flash or an other hot shoe flash...
Really not heavy , did soft light and diffusion of light is perfect
Really great product, if you need a soft box, and you have a 580 Ex or Ex II, this soft box , is perfect, but if you trigger your flash with an other 580 ex II, it doesn't really work, but if you have poccjet wizard , it works !
I use this product in night photographic, and sports, also portrait ! Really good stuff at all !
I used this softbox recently at a wedding. It was a breeze to carry, setup and move around while assembled. I was looking for a light weight setup that didn't require all the cords and accesories when using studio lights. The EzyBox did a great job at distributing the light evenly.
I mounted this box on my Nikon SB-600s with Pocket Wizards attached and it was very easy to move the whole setup to allow for more people, different angles, different locations. I couldn't have asked for more from a small scale setup. I would definitely recommend this box to anyone.
I used the 15"x15" I can't really see a small flash working well with a much bigger box. If you're going up to a larger size you may want to look into a Q-Flash or another battery powered strobe, but then of course your increasing the weight factor significantly. So all in all, 15"x15" is what I would suggest.

If you're looking for a quick softbox with no poles to mess with---this is it! EASY! It works much like a collapsible disc---take it out of zippered bag that is approx. 24 inches across and totally lightweight, when you take it out of the bag, it pops up, the speedring, coldshoe for your flash to fit in come with it. The only thing you need is a manual flash and radio slave and you're totally battery powered and off camera flash to get professional lighting. You need no tools to set it up and takes less than 2 minutes (which is really more like 1)....the speedring goes in a ledge behind the softbox, the bracket screws to that, the flash sits in that, and you're ready to go. comes ready to mount on standard lighstand...only thing i wish it had was a way to tilt, so i'm going to get an attachment to do that. you can so take off the softbox and ring and use it as a bare flash for indoor sports games---but again no way to tilt flash. hope this helps!
