I bought these to assist in fill-lighting interior shots. The "gold" one is supposed to balance against tungsten lighting, but in order to do so well it has to be coloured through. The dye used on the "gold" one doesn't appear to have been made dark enough - leaving tungsten balanced shots somewhat bluish wherever the flash hits.
The green one is much better and does a fine job of balancing fluorescent and flash.
