No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Im like the last person to review this product. My camera Bracket has a 1/4 male thread, and my camera to Flash cord has a cold foot only.

I put the cold foot in the cold shoe and scred it on to the 1/4 inch male thread. I tilted the carera bracket back to have the flash spin backwards.

The problem is the rivit that conects the shoe to the thread is done in such away that it allows it to spin.

I am going to describe the problem I had, and is the reason of why I bought this. This problem will describe the way to use this item.

I bought a Manfrotto Flach bracket with a 1/4 inch Male thread, and I also bought a off camera flash cord. To connect my camera to the flash. The off camera shoe cord is suppose to of had a 1/4 inch female thread on it, but it only had what I call a cold foot. My problem was that I could not connect my Off camera cord to my flash bracket, because the cord was lacking the the famle thread. This addapter solves that problem.

I see no reason for why someone would put there flash or anyother hotfoot into this cold shoe. It is totally pointless in my mind to do so, and is likely a good way in messing up the pins on the flash.
