Great little gadget, wouldn't be without it. Every flash should come with one of these. If you don't have one, get one. It just plain works, on a stand or stand alone.

I ordered my first sb800, superclamp, lite-tite, 3373 stand and a Stroboframe shoe mount.

This stand/mount is waay better than the more expensive Stroboframe shoe mount...why?

1-free if purchased a Speedlight (or its cheaper anyways)

2-faster to use as a mount on a stand, arm, clamp (just slide the speedlight on, and lock. no need to twist a knob)

3-you can lock the speedlight on this mount.

4-the Stroborame one slips even when tightened good (2 smooth metal surfaces doesnt grip good)

The ubiquitous AS-19 becomes rapidly appreciated when no other flash support will get light where you want it. Tucked into your bag or hard case, the AS-19 brings the tabletop shooter an easy light source to move around in limited space where a stand is simply a big bother. I need a few more - and you probably do too.
