Try again
By The Wedding ShotVerified Reviewer from Wichita, KS on 5/27/2008
Pros:
Cheap
Cons:
Not Durable, Too cheap
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I used this cord for about five weddings before it gave out on me. I had to jiggle the cord to make the right connections with my flash. Just buy the Canon brand it is durable enough for regular use!

The cord does not produce good communication with the XTi but I don't know about other EOS models.

This is basically a piece of garbage .. it is the same as the Alzo Digital unit and is not worth the postage cost. The screw holding the base fell out and the locking pin for the hotshoe broke which locked it on my camera and required cracking the cheap piece of junk apart to get it the heck off my camera. [...] I got it in time for a 50th wedding anniversary Vow Renewal Wedding Ceremony and was doing great until everyone gathered for a family shot and no flash. I decided to disconnect the cord and continue with the flash connected directly to the camera but couldn't get it off my hot shoe. After working at this for 10 or 15 minutes and almost destroying the hot shoe on my camera I finally got it off, just in time to photograph the ceremony itself. Sweating bullits for sure.Horror story right? I'm only writing this to hopefully keep you from having one too! Others have had the same problems I see, if this was a rare situation I wouldn't have said anything. By the way I have bought Thousands of dollars of equipment from these people and this is the only thing I have had a problem with, they are a great company. They just need to take faulty equipment like this off the market, it nearly ruined my shoot and my hot shoe. Wayne

Terrible Unit
By OneBigKidVerified Reviewer from KC on 10/22/2007
Cons:
Doesn't work
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

The word "terrible" doesn't adequately describe this product. First, it's hard to get on/off your camera. It has a metal piece that will dig a significant scratch in your hot shoe. It also doesn't establish ETTL communication with my Canon XTi.

Save the shipping cost of returning this item and just buy the Canon OC-E3 to start with. Sometimes it's worth it to pay a few more bucks.

I hate it
By KeithVerified Purchaser from Mobile Alabama on 10/10/2007
Cons:
Can't get it off
Best Uses:
Photography
Describe Yourself:
Professional
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I've used it one time and almost broke my hot shoe to get it off the camera. I want to return it for a Canon brand chord. Don't even waste your money trying to save a few dollars. It's terrible.
