I use this as a fill light for indoor sporting events in concert with a Starflash 650. Like the larger unit, the 300 is a solid unit with a heavy aluminum body covered with a rubberized coat and an internal fan.
The slave sensor works flawlessly, even from relatively great distances.
Although obviously not as powerful as the 650, the 300 shares the larger monolight's more powerful modeling lamp (250 watts). The 300 also recycles rather quickly?about twice as quickly as the 650.

Sync chord and stand were both broken when purchased first week they were available in my area. Store helped replace defective parts and I'm very happy with it since then.
