Comments about Photoflex Photoflex StarFlash 650 Gemini LiteDome Kit with Two StarFlash 650ws Monolights, Two Medium LiteDomes, Connectors, 8'2" LiteStands & Large Case:
I recently had two shoots in three days in which I had to change from soft box to OctoDome during the shoot. Quick release corners made the change easy when attaching and removing the Strobe Connector.
Clearly marked power regulator switch made it easy to quickly adjust the Watts/Second to the appropriate power needed in changing situations.

Comments about Photoflex Photoflex StarFlash 650 Gemini LiteDome Kit with Two StarFlash 650ws Monolights, Two Medium LiteDomes, Connectors, 8'2" LiteStands & Large Case:
Purchased new in January 2008, the Starflash 650's have been very good performers. The stands are strong and easily support the equipment. One issue I did have was easily resolved thanks to the good people at Photoflex, customer service is outstanding. The connector cords are the weak point. I've gone through several. Two work for awhile and then stopped and one didn't work at all. I did get it taken care of quickly but would prefer better QC. I have used these on location at wedding for bridal party photos. Two 650's w/ soft boxes illuminated the church perfectly with easy setup. The carry case is not the strongest and best made gear bag available but it is super useful and thankfully provided. I had an electrician rewire my basement studio and strobes are ready to fire in less than a second, longer for most 100amp households. Adjustable modeling lamps a plus, strobes fire consistently in sync and that is with two SF 650's plus a SF 300. It's easy to add another light to this set. Set it up, plug in, switch sensor to on and you are ready. I do recommend getting a good studio lighting or portrait photography book, particularly if new to strobes.
