Got this light set for Christmas and I love it, recharges quickly and has outstanding color value. The built-in remote trigger adds even more value to an already excellent product.

GGB must have gotten a different unit. I have had to dial the power down on my units, if I want to shoot at an aperature wider than f11 with my Canon30D at ISO 100. The color rendition is accurate. Recycle is quick.

Not What I Expected
By GGB from Colorado Springs, CO on 4/29/2007
Cons:
Weak
Describe Yourself:
Professional
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I ordered one of these units and found that the accomping information stated that the guide number was something in the range of 35. That having been said it may have been a bad unit. But, I think it's important to provide the cosumer with the actual watt seconds. Using my Canon 5D @f-2.8 shooting into a silver reflected umbrella @ 1/60 2' from the subject @ ISO 100 terribly underexposed the shots. The only way to get a suitable exposure was to increase the ISO to 800. Again, maybe a bad unit!

I am very impressed with this product!!
I thought it was going to be a cheap product but I am continually impressed every time I use it!

The only downside is that I wish I would have bought two full sets so I could leave one up in my studio and have to go on location!

Great value. I plan on buying more.
By ShutterbugVerified Reviewer from Atlanta, GA on 8/8/2006
Pros:
Attach Securely, Durable, Easy to setup, Good Color Value
Cons:
Had to order adapter
Best Uses:
General Use, Indoors, Low Light, Night Time, Outdoors, Professional Work, Special Events

Suprisingly rugged for the price. The cans are aluminum and hold up well to less than gentle use. They work excellently with radio slaves. My only complaint was having to order adapters from Photoflex to use my softboxes.
