Though this is intended to enhance a small camera's flash for more powerful output, I use it as a second slave flash for my full size SLR flash. This enables you to easily get more professional, studio-like photos due to having multiple light sources. Very easy to use with most cameras with digital pre-flash, you just select the firing to trigger on with a switch on the back. (1 for manual mode, 2 for other modes, up to 4 if your camera uses multiple flashes for red-eye). Of course this is not a high-quality piece of equipment considering the price, but it doesn't have to be. The included bracket and tripod mount allow it to be mounted to the camera or anywhere you can think of.
