No, I would not recommend this to a friend
This cord should be made with a coiled cord. The straight cord should be not even made. There is no flexibility. The radio slave is created so we can move about without a cord. The transmitter needs to go somewhere on me, such as a pocket. The cord will not reach into a pants pocket, so I must remember to wear a shirt with a pocket on the day of the shoot. If not, I must gaff tape it to my arm or camera or let it dangle. If I am on a tripod I can tape or velcro it to the top of a tripod leg. But if I raise the column up, the cord is too short! I HATE IT.
