Too many defective?

Tried with Canon 430EX without successful. Either using Canon 20D or studio lighting, it couldn't trigger the flash except the Pocket Wizard Plus II. It will trigger just fine.
Returned the item and replaced it. Again, I'm not be able to trigger it.
I went to the other camera store and asked the salesperson to show me the demo of Wein slave and he couldn't make it flash. Another defective? Three of them?
I'll go for simple slave like peanut.

I would recommend that Wein engrave this unit with the notation "for Pre-Flash use only". This unit could be mistakenly used in a normal flash application, where it will not work properly. This error will happen if you have many of these units. Other than this, it is an excellent product. Much more usable than my old Vivitar slave...
