The only weak points of this controller is the distance and the fact that it has to be in line of sight for controlling the flashes. The controls are pretty simple and the TTL functions make up for the distance.

a great product, the downside to it is that you need to have a line of sight with the flashes, or you need to be close to them. the ability to adjust your lights right from your camera easily makes up for it though. I shoot a lot of skating, and these have helped decrease my set up time dramatically, because I don't have to worry about wires messing up the skaters a great product!

Going wireless to my flash units has been a big plus. I don't have to deal with wires getting in the way or not being long enough.

I use it to remotely trigger my 550ex which I locate at the side of the track some 10-15 metres from where I am. This way I get extra reach and ilumination the 100m bend while taking photos beyond the finish line.
Some of our athletic venues don't have very goodlights.
