Comments about Lastolite Lastolite Skylite Medium Kit (42 x 78" Frame, Sunfire/White & 1.25 Stop Diffuser Fabrics, Griphead, Crossbar Handle, Bag):

I purchased the Lastolite Skylite Medium kit to have a durable full size reflector and diffuser panel that would be easy for an assistant to manipulate and also allow for use with a light stand. The hardest part of using this kit is that it takes a while to put together and it isn't something that you would want to have to quickly use and then tear down again.

The great thing about this product is that it is rock solid once it is together. The included handle is perfect for an assistant to use to manipulate light placement. The included griphead works very good although it is a bit cumbersome to attach to the panel. That could just be me, as I always seem to pick the wrong combination when using that type of device. The best thing about the kit is it comes with everything you really need to get working. You get the frame, diffuser panel, reflector, handle, griphead and case. If you pieced this together I think it would be a real pain to keep the pieces together and in good condition without a bag to store it in.

The only bad thing about this is the setup and teardown. The Velcro is very time consuming to attach but once you have it in place it is good to go.

Bottom line, this is a really great product that is really well made. With the appropriate quantity of sandbags this is definitely a kit that you can use outdoors in a slight breeze without having to worry about it folding on you. I would definitely recommend this setup to fellow photographers and I will be including other sizes to my kit in the future.
