Comments about Adorama Adorama Portable Reflector Bracket 22-58":

It is cumbersome and difficult to use. I'm afraid of breaking the knobs by tightening them too much because of the thin plastic. I very much dislike how there are only instructions online and no pictures to guide you through proper setup, it was very annoying. And it doesn't attach properly to my Adorama light stand no matter how many ways I try it. And when I called customer service to help me figure out why it wasn't fitting with another Adorama product they were no help at all.

Good and sturdy, but awkward/cumbersome
By DonVerified Reviewer from Los Angeles, CA on 10/7/2009
Pros:
Adjustability, Attach Securely, Durable, Low Cost
Cons:
Awkward to adjust, Crude Mechanisms
Describe Yourself:

Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Adorama Adorama Portable Reflector Bracket 22-58":

For the price, it does the job: holds a reflector where you want it, and it has enough adjustability to get it most anywhere you want it.

On the down side, the mechanics of it are very crude, and it can be very awkward to make changes to the position.

Good Design-Not so great quality

Comments about Adorama Adorama Portable Reflector Bracket 22-58":

The design is great. You can adjust the length of the arm so that your light stand doesn't tip over without having to use a sand bag or counter weight. I mean who really want to be carrying more weight around. All the regular equipment is enough! Kudos there!
HOWEVER, using the design is a bit cumbersome. Not a fast piece of equipment to use(if what you are looking for is quickness).
The WORSE part is that the one of the tightening handles broke of on the very first use. Thank God, there are two sides to the mechanism and I was able to use it. So 1/2 Kudos the double design , but what LOW quality on the handles. Be GINGER with them. I felt like I was going to snap them off when I tightened them, and did.

This is not the sort of product that lends itself to lots of bells and whistles, but it does do what it's meant to do, which to my mind is enough.

Hold the reflector securely and does not take long to set up (just think out side the box) can adjust the reflector to keep it blanced.

A little inconvenient
By JimVerified Purchaser from Chicago on 2/6/2009

Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Comments about Adorama Adorama Portable Reflector Bracket 22-58":

Had a hard time with this and probably won't get as much use out of it as I had hoped. The device that's used to attach this to the light stand is really inconvenient. It's not something you can just clamp on in a hurry. And the thing is a little heavy. So I fully expect my light stand to tip over some day when I'm not careful.

It works as advertised, but it's heavy and the attachment to the vertical pole is very inconvenient.

this was the only holder in stock when i was ordering the reflector. poor quality. one of the flimsy plastic holders promptly broke. really will not handle any reflector much larger than 36 inches, imo.

Comments about Adorama Adorama Portable Reflector Bracket 22-58":

I ordered this reflector bracket because of the reasonable price. I will only use it a couple of times a year and did not want to spend a lot of money on one. I have used it once so far and it seems to be sturdy enough and holds the reflector securely. The only issue I had is one of the spring clips is very hard to disengage so you can adjust for the size reflector you are using. Other than that it seems a good value for the money.

Comments about Adorama Adorama Portable Reflector Bracket 22-58":

I use this bracket to hold my reflectors instead of using a second light and it does a nice job. I can adjust its position and see the results quickly. My 52" reflectors do make things a bit 'side heavy'- smaller sizes work just fine- and the locking unit takes some practice but it's less expensive than purchasing another light. That will come in the future.
