Yes, there are better softboxs out there, But not for close to that price. They work great, have a second defusing panel inside the box, are well designed over all.
I use the softbox in my studio and sometime on locations. It is (softbox) sturdy and very well constructed. I have not used it long enough to know how durable it is but if its constructions is any indcation, then I expect it will last for years.
This unit is a very nice affordable softbox for the beginner to the professional. Very tiny when apart, but massive in size when together. Takes a few times to really get used to the assembly. The rods are very stiff and hold it nice and tight together. Highly recommend to any type of shooter paired with the Flashpoint 300 w/s strobe.
It may be obvious to anyone who has used a softbox how to assemble, but for the first time user, it's just a box of parts.
I thought the softbox was very good except that it did not include directions and although I think I figured it out, directions would be a lot easier and ensure I was using correctly
