Comments about Ansmann Ansmann Energy 16, NiMh & NiCad Battery Charger, for up to 12 AA/AAA or 6 C or D Cells, or any Combination of C, D, AA, AAA, Plus 4 9 volt Cells.:
After researching all chargers, this one clearly came out ahead. It's ability to "exercise" and keep batteries fresh and at the ready make this the only charger we need at home. We bought the "16" to maximize the number of batteries we can charge simultaneously (i.e. I can charge my three sets of flash batteries all at once the day before departing on a trip) and the build quality is excellent. I could find no shortcomings (other than the cost but I believe you get what you pay for) in all my research. I am confident you will be as pleased as we are with this charger.

Very good charger for the money. It charges fairly quickly and keeps the batteries "topped off" while they remain in the charger. I had an occasional problem with some D cells that were rated for 10000 mah but I think it was due more to the batteries themselves as it was only a specific few that refused to charge. I threw the batteries out and have not had a problem since. This charger is the best out there hands down.

Have used this charger for 3 years. Each battery charges to its maximum capacity. Great for scuba trips: can always have fresh "AA" batteries for my camera and strobe. And can have fresh "C" batteries for my dive lights. Accepts 110-240 volt input, so just need adapter plugs, not converters when travelling.
It's the best charger I've seen.
