This is a lightweight charger that has worked as I travel around the world. Taking NiMH plus this charger beats taking alkaline batteries! Don't forget an ac plug adapter though.
The slow recharge is annoying at times, but tolerable. The other annoying thing is you should not store the batteries in the charger when it is unplugged. That would save space when travelling.
