Out of the box, the lens was stiff,and hard to implement the zoom feature. It is also backwards from the lenses I normally use. The focal length is wonderful for almost any situation, and the macro focusing is sharp. All in all, a good investment.

Love to use this lense when I am just out looking for subjects. It gives you the range of focal lengths to shoot close or at a distance. Would take the place of my 50, 28-70, and 75-300 if I could get it away from my wife. She loves it too.

I am very satisfied with this lens. esp. since I am going on a tour to the Holy Land in Feb. It will help as far as taking extra lens (weight) on the trip. I am sure it will be all I need. It handles easily and am looking forward to many years of use with it.so far no cons.
