Comments about Sigma Sigma 2x EX DG APO Tele-Converter AF for Nikon AF Cameras:
Any time I can't get where I can't go this is the answer. I always sues a monopod or tripod. Just like any large telephoto moving objects are elusive. If you know where your target is going to be set up before hand. When using a tripod I always use a remote shutter release, no matter what lens I am using. Sharp photos are a must if you are going to enjoy or sell them.
Comments about Sigma Sigma 2x EX DG APO Tele-Converter AF for Nikon AF Cameras:
I had high hopes for this product but although its quality is even better than I expected, its uses are limited. I mate it to my Sigma 120-400 OS APO and immediately loose two stops. At 600mm, or so, I need a tripod which renders the OS unusable. Auto-focus also goes out the window so forget shooting anything that moves, unless you fix the focus and wait for your subject to come to you (a great technique for shooting race cars, by the way.) I tend to leave this off the camera unless I have lots of time, lots of light and a tripod. But, I'd miss it if it weren't in my bag.

I am very pleased with the entire performance of this tele converter. I works seemlessly and effortlessly with my Sigma lens and Nikon camera. The price is right, too.
