I use this mostly outside. Working outside, this lense performs flawlessly. Remember, there is NO IS, so those who complain about that being a problem, its not. Know what your buying. I have taken pictures with this thing from the upper deck at Jax Jaguars stadium and from Ny Yankees stadium and have gotten phoneomenal photos even at iso 800 with very little noise. If you want to take low light photos, and use shutter speeds below 100 at full zoom...well this would not be your lense. But, for the price, and as long as you know its limitations (mostly due to having no IS) this lens is GREAT.

I'VE USED MINE FOR 2 YEARS, MOSTLY FOR NATURE WORK. THE SUPER MACRO IS GREAT. FROM SMALL SPIDERS TO BIG GATORS IT COMPARES WELL WITH MY CANON EF 70-300 IS USM. THE CANON HAS THE IS BUT THIS ONE HAS THE SUPER MACRO SO I USE THEM BOTH. I HAVE TAKEN WELL OVER 2000 PHOTOS WITH THIS LENS AND IT STILL WORKS WELL AND TAKES GREAT PHOTOS.

This lens was great at the start, when I bought it for soccer pictures. Then it went crazy, auto focus almost completely stopped after 5 months of semi-pro usage.

Sigma quality control has proven once again that you get what you pay for. If you are like me and require a lens to deliver even AVERAGE image qualiy, look elsewhere.
