Used this product at the local Zoo where tripods are not allowed. It provided the stability needed without any footprint.
Interesting monopod hybrid, the legs are a bit tricky to put on, but work surprisingly well. If you don't have room for a full tripod, this will get your cam up in the air nicely (video over a crowd). It's more wobbly than a full tripod as expected, but where else can you get 6 feet plus of height in a small footprint? Just plan on being right with it at all times! For the photog or videographer who needs mobility, this is pretty sweet, and it can double as a "poor man's stabilizer" for a lighter weight video camera if you know how to set it up that way. Pretty versatile, it has it's place and there aren't many monopods with this design (legs so you can use as a tripod). With the included bag, it's easy to drag along (compared to a comparable high tripod) "just in case" you MIGHT need a tripod, which is always a good feature!

I needed something easy to use and set up for landscape photographs. This monopod suits my needs perfectly. My only complaint (and it's a minor one) is that the threaded rods that make it into a tripod are a bit of a pain to insert. Perhaps some WD40 will take care of that.

Beautifully made. Cast machined head on a silky fluid joint. The legs are cast aluminum and the quick release mechanisms are secure fast to use. This monopod is a very high quality unit. Not only is it a monopod, but it also contains two legs that screw in to make the pod self supporting in either a high or ground perch position. You will not be disappointed with your purchase - and it came with a free bag!

This product is rock steady. Its heavy enough to provide support and light enough to carry without effort. The leg releases are outstanding and the Pod supports take it a step further. Very versatile too. you can make into a interesting tripod using the Pod supports near the top of the mono pod.
