I am the house photographer at a local performing arts theatre. I use rapid connect plates on my camera body and on a 70-200mm f/2.8 lens with the adapter mounted on a monopod. This allows for very stable mounting and quicker equipment changes. When hand holding the zoom, the plate makes a good grip
