After 25 years of shooting with several tripods outfitted with different heads, I finally sprung the nearly [$] for this head. I should have purchased it 20 years ago! I outfitted it with an old Linhof quick-release and it has become my go-to unit. I am extremely happy with this head, mainly using it on location. Don't wait as long as I did.
Well built and dependable

Strong, well built, holds up well in the field. It's drawback for me is the length of time it takes to change the amount of friction, from stong to weak (when changing cameras). Works best with a quick release plate.
