I'm using this with a Slik 381 Monopod. The quick connect and safety latch are ideal for this purpose, saving the effort of screwing a 'pod onto the camera or lens mount each time.

This does exactly what it's supposed to do. Stabilize atop a monopod giving you one axis of tilt. To use the other axis just rotate the camera plate and remount.

Great monopod head. It's very easy to use, the RC2 plate works great and attached firmly and you can easily shoot high or low objects from a monopod by easily tilting the lens upward or downward. Well worth the low price.

Cons:
Heavy
Best Uses:

Great monopod head. I much prefer this to a tripod ring on my 100mm macro lens. It is quick to set up and use, and even faster to pop your camera off and take whatever shots you see. Very powerful clamp, the extra lock adds some security for me. Head has received a lot of use and abuse with absolutely no signs of damage.

Excellent monopod head.
By HarrisonVerified Purchaser from Sacramento, CA on 7/10/2007
Pros:
Attaches Firmly, Good Stability, Large Range of Motion, Strong Clamp
Cons:
Heavy
Best Uses:
Long Exposures, Photography, Portraits, Reducing Noise (ISO Reduction), Stabilization
Describe Yourself:
Hobbyist/Enthusiast
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

This head does what it's supposed to and does it well. For the price, it's a bargain. I've wedged my monopod between some rocks and had the camera hanging out there aimed just where I wanted it without a worry. This is not a lightweight head though. If you will be hiking the High Sierra, you might want a lighter one.

I am happy with the Swivel Tilt Monopod Head, except for a quality control issue (the handle to fasten camera is not attached properly, it took me a while to place it back).

Great product. But having used it for a while now, if I had it to do over, I think I would go with a ball mount that would give me total motion range.

I use this frequently with my Canon 400/f5.6L lens + 1.4 extender on a monopod when out hiking and doing bird photography. Allows quick and easy adjustment. I tried using my ballhead but this is so much better.
