I have tried several heads shooting surfing and live action sports with a Canon D5 & a 100-400 telephoto lens. This head is a winner. It's easy to work, gives the degrees of freedom that you need while maintaining your horizon, and produces silk smooth live action pans. It's Perfect.

Absolutely ideal for light-weight spotting scopes. I'm using it on Nikon's phenomenal compact Fieldscope ED50-A, and find the combination perfectly suited to each other. A set of Manfrotto carbon fiber legs completes the set. Highly recommended.

This is a very nice product. Am very pleased - very smooth action. I use with my video camera for weddings, couldn't ask for a better product.
I also have a Bogen-Manfrotto 322RC2 Horizontal Grip Action Ball Head with RC2 Rapid Connect for my Digital Camera, I keep a RC2 rapid connect on both my video and DSLR - this way I can use my monopod or tripod at anytime.
