Obviously you would not use this for a heavy camera in the larger formats, but it is a very good compact, lightweight, stable tripod for your typical 35mm, prosumer digital, hand held type video camera, etc. Its price doesn't reflect the quality. It's a great buy if you need a stable, but small tripod, or a lightweight portable. Recommended.

Flimsy, cheap, and scratched

Lightweight
Cons:
Unstable, Weak Construction

Don't buy it! The first one I got arrived totally scratched, like a truck had run over it. I got it exchanged, but the second one is only marginally better. I have no idea what they do to these, they look worse than another one I had for 15 years!

Aside from the cosmetics, it's very flimsy, most of the adjustments are imprecise, and in my opinion not at all suitable for DSLRs. It might work for small and light cameras, but these usually come without remote release, and just the mere pressing of the release button may lead to shake considering its flimsiness.
